Book Notes Template For Your Notion Bookshelf

Book Notes is a template I recommend for taking notes for your reference when you're reading books. I created it to reduce friction and allow myself to get back to reading the book quickly. Instead of repeating what the book says, try using this format so your own work isn't interleaved with the books. If you'd like, you can even read reviews of your book online and clip a few sections instead of writing detailed notes on your own.

We recommend that you use this template for all your books. Instead of writing pages of notes from your book, this template is designed to inspire you to interact with the material in a way that moves your thoughts in a more free-flowing direction, while giving you a framework to go back and read the book even after a break.

I recommend writing notes once when you reach the halfway mark, and once when you finish the book. If you already have a Notion bookshelf, add this as a template so every new book you add to your shelf will have this ready for you to add your notes.
